Sensory Friendly Fun

Exploration Place is holding Sensory Friendly Fun sessions this summer, with the first coming up this Saturday from 8 to 9:30 am.

These sessions are special times for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and sensory processing sensitivities to experience the museum without the noise, crowds or the stimulation of a regular day. Exploration Place has partnered with Heartspring and, based on their feedback, lights, exhibits and noise will be adjusted during these times. Noise reduction headphones will also be available, as well as a calming area.
