Open Streets ICT 2022
Open Streets ICT is a FREE community-building event on Sunday, September 18, 2022 from noon to 5 p.m. that closes Douglas Ave. to traffic and opens it for biking, walking, running, dancing, yoga, and more! All Wichitans are invited to join in the fun, and to stop at the local area businesses, restaurants, street vendors, and the major activity hubs situated along the route.
Open Streets ICT will bring Wichitans of all ages together for an active, fun, community building afternoon in Wichita’s historic Delano Neighborhood all the way down to the College Hill area. Visitors will be able to cruise along Douglas Ave. and stop at activity hubs, shop businesses on the route, and visit food and street vendors while listening to music.
Open Streets ICT is designed to elevate the quality of life and health of the Wichita community. The goal of Open Streets ICT is to foster an appreciation for streets to become multi-functional spaces while bringing the community together.
Street closures will begin at 10 a.m. on Douglas Ave. from College Hill at Bluff St. to Glenn St. in the historic Delano Neighborhood, and open by 6 p.m.
